琥珀是一种天然的树脂化石，由不同地质时期不同树种的古植物分泌的树脂经地质作用形成。本文通过文献查找，分析了琥珀的名称来历以及在不同时代的特征及发展，阐述了琥珀在中医药中的运用，以及通过现代手段对琥珀的考古学研究，以期丰富中国古代文化、艺术的内涵，更好将琥珀文化传承与发展。
Abstract:
Amber is a natural fossilized resin formed through geological processes from resin secreted by ancient plants of different tree species during various geological periods. This article summarizes the history of the name of amber and its characteristics and development in different dynasties through literature investigation, illustrating the application of amber in traditional Chinese medicine as well as the archaeological research on amber through modern techniques. Undoubtedly, the study of ancient amber will enrich the essence of ancient Chinese culture and art, further enhancing the inheritance and development of amber culture.
